Design, code, 3D and sound: built with three.js and Blender.
The hospital, props and the Koala were procedurally authored in Blender for this game.
The human characters were built in Blender with MPFB / MakeHuman (CC0 output and CC0 system
assets); their motion uses the Universal Animation Library by Quaternius (CC0), retargeted and
extended with hand-keyed animation in Blender. Flashlight: "Small Plastic Torch" by Abiyyu
Panggalih, Poly Haven (CC0). Tree foliage: Leaf Set 009 / 010 scans, ambientCG.com (CC0).
The piano, UI sounds and the chase/tension score were synthesised for this game. Almost all
other sound is real recordings from Freesound.org (CC0 public domain and CC BY), selected,
filtered, mixed, looped and spatialised for the game: storm, electrical hum and lights,
building ambience, doors, phones, foley, the Koala and the stingers.
CC BY 3.0/4.0 recordings by Artninja, DWOBoyle, Dan_AudioFile, F.M.Audio, Ulrich_Wehner,
WiesenWiesel, copyc4t, iainmccurdy, klankbeeld, lebaston100, nornalbion and ryks88.
Walking and running: "concrete footsteps 1" (freesound_community, Pixabay Content License).
Full list with authors, licences and links: assets/audio/CREDITS_EXTERNAL.json.
Voices: Chatterbox neural text-to-speech (Resemble AI, MIT) with synthetic Kokoro-82M
reference voices (Apache-2.0); the first phone call: offline text-to-speech, processed. The multiplayer
caretaker, public-address and phone lines use the same voices, filtered as telephone / ceiling-horn audio.
The multiplayer building alarm is synthesised in real time (Web Audio). Multiplayer set dressing, the
emergency shutter and the new Koala clips (stalk, sniff, twitch) were authored in Blender for this game.
Handwriting font: Reenie Beanie by James Grieshaber (SIL Open Font License). Multiplayer networking:
PeerJS (MIT) over WebRTC.
